The Monit’s two independent distance counters can be cleared or preset to any arbitrary value. They can also be configured to count up or down, operate at either one metre or ten metre re-solution, and display in either miles or kilometres. These features make the unit perfect for all types of rallying and road survey work.
Using an advanced software algorithm, the Monit can update its current speed display up to four times a second. This means you get a smoother and more responsive speed readout, perfect for monitoring official speed restrictions. The Monit can also store and display your vehicle’s maxi-mum speed.
Useful for touring or TSD rallying, this function allows you to accurately determine your vehicle’s average speed over a stage or event. The function continually computes the average speed since it was last reset.
With its built in stopwatch, the Monit allows you to accurately record your stage times without the need for a hand held timer. For the ultimate in convenience, you can even configure the function to be controlled from a dedicated external switch.
Selected models include an accurate time of day clock. This displays time in 24 hour format to the nearest second. It can quickly be set to an official rally clock, allowing you to easily keep track of time control sections and servicing intervals.
For professional teams, managing your vehicle’s fuel level is vital to being competitive. Selected Monit trip meters include a powerful fuel measurement system. This will work with all different tank shapes, and includes an easy to use calibration system that supports up to 10 set points. The current fuel level can be displayed on the main screen, or on a full screen ‘gauge’ display. This later feature is particularly useful for a service crew during refuelling, and includes a bar graph that shows the percentage of fuel in the tank.
Using the Monit’s built in 0-100kph or quarter mile* sprint timer, you can accurately measure your vehicle’s sprint performance. Perfect for evaluating serious modifications or just for bragg-ing rights. The timer starts automatically when the vehicle begins moving, and stops once the target speed/distance has been reached.
The Monit includes two programmable auxiliary inputs. These can be connected to either foot or hand switches, and configured to perform a particular function. For example, set one to reset the Total distance counter, and the other to dim the backlight. Use them to customise your setup to best suit your needs.
